Loveland High School’s season-opening football game at Fort Collins on Sept. 1 has been selected as the Denver Broncos game of the week, and with that, the NFL franchise is setting up a tailgate area for families and students.
There will be tents set up with Broncos alumni, cheerleaders, Miles the mascot, the Super Bowl trophies and a flag signing tent, where students are asked to autograph the flag that will be displayed at Invesco Field. There will also be a tent when the Broncos will hand out free giveaways, as well as tailgating games and a high school combine area, for fans to display their skills in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and broad jump.
Thunder, the Broncos’ horse, will also be there. The tailgating begins at 4:30 p.m. at French Field.
